Current limiting resistor needed in series with one lead. When connected directly to DCC voltage, Litchfield Station, LLC recommends a 750 to 1500 ohm resistor The lower the resistor value, the brighter the light, but the shorter the life of the LED. With a 1000 ohm resistor, expect a life of about 5000 illuminated hours (over 6 months of 24 hours a day, every day).

WIRING OPTIONS
3-LEAD COMMON ANODE These LEDs are designed to have the common wire connected to the positive voltage. They will light up whatever color is indicated by the connection of one of the other two leads to the negative voltage. These are the ones you want if you are going to have your DCC decoder light them. The common (anode) goes to the blue wire and the outside leads go to different function wires.
